Kapiti 2012 is happening this year at Mackay's Crossing, Queen Elizabeth Park, 10am to 3pm. A
fun family day of entertainment to celebrate our emergency and community services.
The 2012 Kapiti Expo showcases the Kapiti District and celebrates our safe community. Our emergency and social services will be there with a chance for the kids to climb into a
fire truck or ambulance, see the police dog show and learn about civil defence
as well as food, produce and live entertainment for all the family. The Trams will be working and there will be horse riding and bouncy castles.
The event is unique as it gives an opportunity for the public to interact with our emergency and social services in a casual informal way, enabling information and advice to be given out and allowing us to show our support for our services.
It is the perfect opportunity to have a day out in one of our most beautiful parks, Queen Elizabeth Park and explore all the facilities available.
Participants include
Kapiti Safer Community Trust, Police, Fire, Ambulance, EMS, Kapiti Women’s Centre, Kapiti
Birthright, Barnardos, Girl Guides, Civil Defence, Neighbourhood Support, ACC, Amnesty
International, Kapiti SPCA.
