Families

The Kapiti Safer Community Trust (KSCT) believes that the family is the heart of the community.  In order to have a healthy, safe community we need strong families.  Family life can be difficult.  We live in a world which puts increasing pressure on us.  The emphasis of these services is for early collaborative therapeutic intervention and preventative approaches that strengthen and find solutions for the wellbeing of families.

If you or someone you know needs help, contact fsskapiti@safercommunity.org.nz

Crime Prevention

The Kapiti Safer Community Trustrecognises the importance of “early intervention” as a means to prevent children and young people drifting into crime at an older age. It places a strong emphasis on working with young people, children and their families.

We support the Kapiti Community Patrols and Neighbourhood Support.  These two groups work alongside each other and the Police to help keep our communities safe.  If you are not a member of either of these groups and would like to know more then please contact us.

Our service also goes into schools to provide an anger management programme and we support the narrative story telling programme at Paraparumu College.
